As an Artist I wanted to create a memorable work of Art. I have never seen an Artist conduct such a project for the Lowrider community in the DFW. The first ever all Lowrider Bombs Calendar 2012.
It was a major challenge to put this project together. Collaboration was required by Photographer, Model, Makeup Artist, Car Owner, and Location or Shop Owner.
Photo Shoots were canceled and rescheduled multiple times. Models were no shows. Car owners had a change of mind. Makeup Artist were not available. Deposits for Car Show booths were lost.
It took an entire year to complete.
Patience and determination helped me continue to piece this project together. I was able to find great Models, Car Owners and Makeup Artist who were just as determined with their work as I was with mine. I learned more about them from each photo shoot. I saw a resemblance.
We were all performing an Art. The Art of Modeling, Hair and Makeup Artistry, the Art of Lowriding, the Art of Design and Photography.
I was able to combine all these Arts into one booklet. A Calendar to share for the entire year of 2012.
A Calendar to look at each day and be proud of.
